At the imperial court of Japan, a long time ago... After much wrangling, the relations between China and Japan are finally looking good. To celebrate this agreement, the Chinese emperor offered his Japanese counterpart a sacred animal, a large Chinese panda, symbol of peace. The Emperor of Japan says to players, his courtiers, the delicate task of caring for the animal by building him a bamboo grove. The players will cultivate land plots, irrigate them and grow one of three varieties of bamboo (green, yellow and pink) through the gardener. They must deal with the sacred animal and his excessive taste for crunchy stems and tender leaves ... The player who will push him over bamboo managing at best his plots and meeting the delicate appetite of the panda will win the game.
